The first car was originally sold in the south of France and was imported to Mexico while it’s owner, a translator the French Olympic team, was there for the 1968 Olympic games in Mexico City. She made friends with a couple brothers from Texas who where in medical school down there. They brought the car back to Texas with them after the games and in exchange for a ticket back to France she gave them the car.

The car was immediately entered into Pan-American SCCA events until 1971 when someone threw a rock at the windshield cracking it. It then was put into storage and not touched for the next 30 years. After the car was sold it passed quickly through three more owners in Texas until I bought it and it left Texas probably coming north for the first time. Having spent the majority of its life in Texas and being stored for so long the car is very complete and is not rusted and in fact still wears its original French license plate on the boot.
The second car was driven in Colorado until taken off the road in 1969. The car was originally red but was painted orange had had some body work done at some point before 1969. After taken off the road the car has sat ever since and today still wears its 1969 tag.

A few years later I found two 1965 S versions, one complete and original car and the other a restored body. The red one is almost good enough to save but finding all the parts to finish the grey car would take a very long time and a lot of money.

Finally I have purchased a fifth to add to the collection. A restored 1961 950 Spyder with the factory hardtop.
